How I met your mother

Good afternoon everybody !

I was searching for a subject for the blog and today I would like to speak about a TV series that you certainly know, which is "How I met your mother".

This series was created in 2005 in the USA and was written by Carter Bays and Craig Thomas. The main actors are :
- Josh Radnor (Ted Musby in the series)
- Jason Segel (Marshall Eriksen)
- Alyson Hannigan (Lily Aldrin)
- Cobie Smulders (Robin Scherbatsky)
- Neil Patrick Harris (Barney Stinson)
Currently, the series contains 7 seasons and 145 episodes.

The series takes place in 2030 and Ted Mosby is explaining to his daughter and his son how he met his wife. He starts his story in 2005 when he was 27 years old and he began his work as an architect. He tell us the different moments about his life when he was looking for the perfect woman with the help of his friends.

I really advise you to watch this series because it's very funny, the actors are great (mainly Barney Stinson), and furthermore, it can improve our level in English (Amazing no ?).

Have a good day team A, and good luck for the English lesson !

Bye bye

Good afternoon everybody !

I ‘d like to speak to you about The Smurfs. I’m sure you think that you don’t know anything about this strange name. But when you were a child, you used to watch this cartoon on TV. Indeed, The Smurfs is the English name for “les Schtroumpfs”.

Since the 3rd august of this year, the Smurfs animated movie is available on French cinema. The story can be summed up as this: The Smurfs had been drive out of their village by the bad Gargamel. They had been jumped trough a magical portal in Central Park then they play their regular round of cat-and-mouse in New York.

This movie has taken a lot of criticism from the worldwide. Why? First, the movie can be viewed by people of all ages, it’s more accommodative to kids than adults. Moreover, the screenplay is very basic and without big surprise.

Nevertheless, some people go on cinema to watch The Smurfs because, for example, in Australia, they are 5th of the box office with $721,608 of benefits. In France, it’s not the same with only 41 594 viewers in 10 weeks. So, they are just 18th of the actual French box office.

As a matter of interest, an American survey has said that “Smurfs” will be 2011’s most popular costume than “Captain America” for Halloween.

Hello everybody,
Today I decided to comment on article on deforestation, particularly on the causes of industrialization on ecosystems.
Indeed, the article I commented on is titled "Barbie & Mattel's suit deforestation goes' viral". I chose this article because I think we are all actors in society and we have all the choice to consumer well and effectively without destroying what is around us.
Thus, the problem in this article, it is that Mattel, large toy manufacturer, uses the practice of deforestation, and that, just to package Barbie dolls in "nice boxes" that end up in the trash. Therefore, as we know, the cardboard packaging needed for this comes from deforestation (here, these are the "forest of Indonesia"). Through this deforestation, we tend to forget that animals like the last Sumatra tiger, orang utan stay in forest, and that if deforestation doesn't stop, it will have to disappear.
Ultimately, following a small video about the break between "Ken and Barbie" on deforestation seen on the web, it seems that the manufacturer Mattel agrees to stop using products from deforestation in these toys. Of course, Mattel shall pay nothing in this new commitment. But, we are all responsible for our actions, we have the choice to consume or to boycott goods from deforestation !
I hope this comment will not leave you indifferent about your consumer choices and as Christmas is coming soon, so you will choose "green" toys to offer your little nieces and nephews in mind all these animals !
See you soon.

Hello everybody,

I need to write something on the blog!

So, I read some newspapers and I would like to highlight technological medecine.

To begin, Do you know LOPES?

LOPES mean Lower extremity Power ExoSkeleton. LOPES is a Dutch therapeutic prototype. Thanks to this one, we can help patients. In fact, they use robotic legs to improve the movement of stoke patients. This robot can detect what the patient is doing wrong.

I think that it is really fantastic. The machine will be available in rehabilitation centers around the world.

Furthermore, we are able to use bionic hand. Actually, Serbian man lost the use of his right hand. After a lot of operations he can use it.

It is amazing!!!!!!

I don't know if you agree with me but I think we are in a new world where all is possible. We are in technological area where robotic can help us.

If you want more informations you can read articles on the BBC website.

Good bye.
